The Pew Internet and American Life Project reports (PDF) an increase in Podcast downloading, but the number is still less than 20%. Only 3 percent of internet users say they do it on a typical day. Still, the number has increased steadily since Pew started its survey.
Some other facts from the survey:
- Internet users at the age of 18-29 download podcasts more than any other age group.
- 22 percent of online men compared with 16 percent of online women report ever having downloaded a podcast.
- Dial-up users download podcasts. (impressive!)
