Administration of Torture: A Documentary Record from Washington to Abu Ghraib and Beyond

A new documentary collection on detainee abuse edited by two ACLU attorneys has just been published by Columbia University Press under the title “Administration of Torture: A Documentary Record from Washington to Abu Ghraib and Beyond.” The book reproduces hundreds of government documents, including interrogation directives, FBI e-mails, autopsy reports, and investigative files. Most of the documents were obtained as a result of an ongoing legal battle over a Freedom of Information Act request filed in October 2003 by the ACLU and other human rights and anti-war groups.
Visit the ACLU’s web site for more information.
